Lee A. Hess
Lee attended Georgia State University for 4 years, majoring in Geology and minoring in Mathematics. In 1974, near the end of his senior year at GSU, Lee became a Christian. After his call into the ministry he earned his Bachelors in Humanities, with a concentration in Religious Studies, from Baptist University of America. Lee served several years as a teacher and then principal of a Christian school, as well as assistant to the pastor of Harvest Baptist Church in Acworth, GA. In 1988, the Lord directed the Hess family to move to Lynchburg, VA, where Lee attended and graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. While in Lynchburg, he served as an assistant pastor of Old Forest Road Baptist Church. Lee came to CBC June 6, 1992 and has faithfully served the congregation since that time. Lee is married to Sandy, a retired mother-baby and hospice RN, and who serves the CBC fellowship as a digital keyboardist and co-web site administrator. They have 3 sons, Adam, a data analyst and program developer for the Health Department Newport News, VA, Peter, pastor of Christ Fellowship Church in Williamsburg, VA, and Joel, a doctor of Pharmacy at Fort Gregg-Adams in VA. Peter and Missy have 4 children, and Joel and Ruth have 4 children.
