Day Camp

 
Day Camp 2009 has been concluded!  Kids (and adults) from all over the area enjoyed one or both weeks of activities.  Check back with us next year for information on Day Camp 2010.

    Day Camp 2.0 !    
 
 
For 20 years this event took place at a local camp, but this year we bring the same exciting program to the grounds of Carrollton Baptist Church
(plus the pool at Carrisbrooke).
                                                         
                                                      
 
This year we are traveling “Down Under” on the 
 
“Boomerang Express”
                                                         
                    
 
    
Children in kindergarten through 6th grade
 
are  invited to join us during the weeks of
 
June 22 - 26 and August 3 - 7 
 
from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM.
 
 
 
 
 
We will be learning about the life of Peter the Apostle.   Jesus Calls Peter to Become a "Fisher of Men"
 
 
Additionally there will be crafts, recreation,   
a study on missions, special speakers, a manners
class, music, and of course, swimming.
 
Each camper gets a theme t-shirt!   
Refreshments are provided.
 
 We ask a $25.00 donation for each
camper per week, but we will not turn any camper
away for lack of funds.
 
 
 
FAQs

Will Transportation Be Provided? 

 Because of limited space, we encourage you to bring your camper.  However, limited transportation is provided.  There will be pick up points in the Smithfield area:  Red Oaks Mobile Community, Farmers Bank parking lot, Jersy Park/Woods Edge Apartments parking lot, Pinewood Heights, and Smithfield Apartments.  

IF YOU MUST HAVE TRANSPORTATION PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO MEET THE BUS AT ONE OF THESE POINTS.  PLEASE NOTE ON YOUR REGSTRATION WHERE YOU WILL MEET THE BUS. TRANSPORTATION IS ON A FIRST COME BASIS AND IS NOT GURANTEED.

 

WHAT DO THE CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? 

 FOOD: Lunch in a bag with camper's name on it.  (NO LUNCH BOXES -- WE REFRIGERATE ALL LUNCHES).  Drinks and snacks will be provided.  Sodas will not be available.

 CLOTHES:  Everyone needs tennis shoes and a towel.  Girls will need a swinsuit under shorts and shirt.   Boys will need a swinsuit and shirt. 

 There are no facilities to change clothes, so please wear your swimsuits to camp as described
